With a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Accounting, Donna brings a depth of expertise that goes well beyond traditional bookkeeping. She prepares taxes, advises on business structure and strategy, and serves as a fractional CFO for clients who need a financial partner, not just a recordkeeper. Donna is also the host of the Books & Backbone podcast and author of financial literacy content for entrepreneurs. Her mission is to make financial clarity accessible to every small business owner — regardless of size or stage. Dave Harris brings a rare combination of discipline, precision, and business acumen to his role as Bookkeeping Manager at BMS. A combat veteran with a Master of Business Administration, Dave understands what it means to perform under pressure, take ownership, and get things right the first time. Those same standards define how he manages client books. Dave oversees the day-to-day bookkeeping operations at BMS, ensuring every client's financials are accurate, current, and delivered on time. His MBA background means he doesn't just record transactions — he understands what they mean for the health of your business. I started Bookkeeping Made Simple because I kept seeing the same thing over and over: smart, hardworking business owners who were brilliant at what they did — and completely in the dark about their own finances.

They weren't failing because they weren't working hard enough. They were failing because nobody had ever given them a clear picture of where their money was actually going. That bothered me. A lot.
